We are an education company as much as a cup company. The full library of guides is still being written — but the two most useful things are already here: the Cup Quiz, and an FAQ that answers the questions people actually ask.

Find your size

A minute of questions, and an honest recommendation. Sizing is the thing people most often get wrong, and it is the easiest thing to get right before you order.

Question 1 of 5

During your period, insert a clean finger until you touch your cervix (it feels like the tip of your nose). How far in do you reach?

Fourteen questions, answered properly

Why the cup never needs boiling. How to clean it. What the sizes actually mean, and why a size 2 from another brand is not a Bfree size 2. What to do when it will not open, or when it leaks. How to get it out without fighting it. This is the guide that exists today, and it is a good one.

What we are writing next

Four guides are being written. Choosing your size — how flow, cervix height, and capacity actually interact. Your first cycle with a cup, told honestly. Cleaning without boiling, and what an antibacterial surface does and does not do. And the menstrual, sexual, and reproductive health material we teach in the field, adapted for anyone who wants it. We would rather publish these properly than publish them quickly.

Education is the actual product

Bfree began with years of fieldwork — interviewing girls and young women in refugee settlements in Uganda and slums in Kenya, and asking what really stands between them and a normal month. The cups travel with education programs, and unless local custom discourages it those programs include boys as well as girls. Periods are a female biological process, but they are not only a female issue. Bringing that material online, for everyone, is what this page will grow into.
